The BENALU Group strengthens its top management

Over the past three years, the BENALU Group has experienced a spectacular growth, with its turnover nearly doubling to reach over €170 million in 2019. This growth is the result of an ambitious policy of developing new products, expanding market share internationally, and successfully completing two relevant external growth operations (the acquisition of MEGA in 2017 and the takeover of MAISONNEUVE CITERNE in 2018).

These developments align perfectly with the BENALU Group’s strategy to consolidate its leadership position in the European market for heavy-duty vehicles (semi-trailers and heavy-duty carriers) for the transport of bulk, solid, and liquid materials. They also offer significant potential for synergies.

To accelerate the realization of these synergies, particularly in terms of design and production, and to further its ambitions in serving its clients, the BENALU Group has decided to strengthen its top management. Mr. Arnaud de Ponnat joined the Group at the end of 2019 and was appointed President, effective January 1, 2020.

Arnaud de Ponnat was previously the Executive President of the Mécachrome Group (with a turnover of €410 million and 3000 employees), a tier 1 supplier to the Aerospace industry (Airbus, Rolls Royce, Safran…) and the Automotive sector (Porsche, Renault, Ferrari…). Together with Olivier Viard, the Group’s General Manager, they form a highly experienced leadership duo.

Renaud Sueur, President of the Management Board of ARCOLE INDUSTRIES (BENALU’s shareholder), stated, “The growth in activity over the past three years and the recent acquisitions lead us to strengthen the Group’s top management. Arnaud de Ponnat’s arrival is part of this approach. His complementarity with Olivier Viard is evident. He is tasked with realizing all potential synergies and consolidating the Group’s positions in Europe, in continuity with past management.
